Organise a funeral collection

Most funeral directors are happy to help with collections and will forward on any donations to Headway – the brain injury association on your request.

We are happy to supply Headway donation envelopes which include a Gift Aid Declaration allowing us to claim an extra 25% on eligible donations at no extra cost to the donor. These are an ideal size to be placed on pews or tables or passed on to family and friends. Both the envelopes and leaflets display our address, so those attending can also choose to send these back to us directly if they prefer.

You can also choose to write our charity name, telephone number or website in the Order of Service so again people can make a donation at a later date.

Online funeral donations

You may wish to use your online tribute page to inform family and friends about the funeral. This would also enable those unable to attend the ceremony, or who would prefer to give online using a debit or credit card, to donate in your loved one’s memory

Each tribute page has a unique website address which you can add to the order of service.

Please contact us on 0115 924 0800 or fundraising.admin@headway.org.uk to request any required envelopes or leaflets. We will ensure these are sent out promptly. Once donations are collected please send a cheque payable to 'Headway – the brain injury association' along with a covering letter to:

We will acknowledge receipt of the cheque and, if details are provided, we will also write to the next of kin to thank them for their support and confirm the amount received.
